Tea Tree: Sharp, strong aroma; famous for its beneficial effects on immune system and long used topically for antiseptic properties; added to spritzers for counter top disinfectants and cleaners; Tea tree oil has been highly praised for a wide variety of healing uses. Some people find the oil irritating when used full strength and need to dilute it with oil, but many people use it straight on athlete's foot, insect bites, arthritis pain, burns, cuts, nail fungus warts and sprains. Test for sensitivity by putting a drop on the inside of the elbow and leaving it for 24 hours to see if a rash develops. If a rash appears, always dilute tea tree oil with a small amount of olive or other carrier oil before using. This makes a great bug repellent also.

NSP Essential Oil Blends

Breathe Free: This blend will help those who need more oxygen to the lungs. It has the ability to clear and stimulate. Systems targeted are the immune and respiratory. It contains: Geranium, Niaouli, Peppermint and Rosemary. It is excellent in the treatment of asthma, bronchitis, catarral conditions, cough, sinusitis, sore throat, and whooping cough. Niaouli is used locally for a wide variety of ailments, such as aches and pains, respiratory conditions, cuts and infections. It is also used to purify water.
To Use: Lightly apply this clearing and stimulating blend to your forehead and behind the ears and on the neck. Also use on the lung area and apply to the feet. Can be used in a diffuser, bath, shower and in a massage. Do not use during pregnancy, with epileptics or with children under 2.

Cellu-Tone: This formula is a very stimulating blend that includes powerful toning properties and is very useful in getting rid of cellulite. It has been used on the throat in cases of a sore throat. It targets the skin and circulatory system. It is helpful for weight loss. It contains Cypress, Geranium, Juniper, Niaouli, Pink Grapefruit, Rosemary, Thyme and Vetiver. Deep Relief: This blend is very useful for deep tissue pain. It may help with sciatica and arthritic pain.

Guardian: This is a powerful blend for building, strengthening and protecting the body and supporting its defense mechanism. It is excellent for the immune system. Use it to protect the home and office environment. It targets the immune system, the skin and the hair. Apply to the thymus, feet and spine. Diffuse daily. Ravensara is referred to by the Madagascar people as "the oil that heals" because of its antiseptic activity and air in respiratory problems. It is anti-infectious, anti-viral and anti-bacterial. It works as an expectorant and also gives support to the nerves. It has been shown to help with flu, sinusitis, bronchitis, viral hepatitis, cholera, herpes, infectious mononucleosis, insomnia and muscle fatigue. Companion oils are Geranium, Lemon, and Oregano. Not for use during pregnancy.

NSP Massage Oil is high in essential fatty acids and is nourishing to the skin. Use it alone or as a carrier oil for NSP’s 100 percent pure essential oils. Dilute 7–15 drops of essential oil per tablespoon of massage oil. Use liberally on desired areas.

 Many of the cleaning agents you use daily are harmful, highly toxic and can cause allergic reactions, skin irritations, respiratory problems, suppress the nervous and immune systems and disrupt the ecosystem!

 Gather up all of your cleaning supplies and look at the labels. Are the ingredients things that clearly were derived in chemistry labs?  It’s time to rethink clean. Here’s why:

•   Did you know that Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) levels are up to 10 times higher inside than outside?  VOCs are emitted by a number of sources, including vehicles (emissions) and common household products  such as paint, paint thinners, building supplies and everyday cleaners and disinfectants. In fact, other than getting your vehicle off the road, switching to green cleaning products can do more to lower VOC emissions than any other environmentally friendly choice. Lowering VOCs is good for the planet and you. The EPA lists some of the effects of VOC exposure, including eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches, loss of coordination, nausea, and damage to the liver, kidneys and central nervous system. It further states that VOCs can cause cancer in animals, and some VOCs are suspected or known to cause cancer in humans.

•   Did you know that manufacturers are not required to list ingredients in their cleaning products? Or that, according to the EPA, of the nearly 3,000 top selling chemicals in the United States, basic toxicity information is available for only 7 percent? Is it any wonder that nearly 10 percent of all calls to the Poison Control Center are for household cleaning products? Cleaning products are required to carry a warning label that ranges from “caution” being the least hazardous and “danger” or “poison” being highly toxic.

•   Chemicals (like VOCs) in cleaners can pollute the air but also frequently find their way into our water system. In fact, one of the biggest ocean pollutants is phosphates that make their way into the water supply through fertilizers and cleaning supplies, notably laundry detergents. Algae thrive with high phosphate levels, creating harmful algae blooms, which have been cropping up in many coastal waters. The algae blooms kill native marine life and can permanently change the marine ecosystem.
