Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is one of nature's miracle plants. The Food and Drug Administration
has approved it for treatment of burns and minor skin problems. But its
beneficial effects do not stop there. It can be used in a regular health program
as well as in a First Aid Kit for emergencies. It is beneficial for the skin,
blood system and the digestive tract. It can help to relieve chronic
constipation, and is useful in cases of burns, abrasions, cuts, and insect bits.
It can be used as a blood cleanser helping to remove toxic matter from the
stomach liver, kidneys, spleen, bladder and colon. Some of its other benefits
are relief from arthritis, helping bladder and kidney infections, constipation
and insomnia. It has been very useful in radiation damage, scalding burns, open
leg ulcers, scalp problems, rashes, peptic ulcers, age spots, athlete's foot, as
well as hemorrhoids and bleeding piles. Its greatest attribute is the ability to
prevent scar tissue as well as the removal of minor scars. It is very effective
to use aloe Vera along with vitamin E for burns.
The vulnerary properties not only promote the healing of wounds but promote the
removal of dead skin. They clean and soothe while healing. They help to
alleviate pain and reduce the chance of infection and scarring while helping the
healing process. It contains enzymes, saponins, hormones and amino acids which
are absorbed through the skin. Experiments have shown that aloe Vera is useful
on radiation burns and has been found very effective in healing, relieving pain
and itching. It helped to keep down keratosis and ulceration which slows down
any possible chance of malignancy.
Aloe Vera contains substances called uronic acids that are natural detoxificants
may take part in the healing process by stripping toxic materials of their
harmful effects. The enzyme action has the ability to penetrate tissue, break
them down and destroy them which helps to hasten the healing process and enhance
normal cell proliferation.
Aloe Vera activates the functions of the liver. The liver has the job of
changing nutrients into products that the cells in the body can utilize. When
problems arise because of interference with constipation or toxic build up of
undigested fat and proteins that get into the blood stream and cause deposits
and other health problems, the use of aloe Vera activates the functions of the
liver in a natural and normal manner. This helps the toxins to be dissolved, and
the proteins and fats to be utilized.
Vitamin and Mineral Content: Aloe Vera is rich in amino acids that
construct proteins in the body, and it also contains enzymes essential to
health. It contains POTASSIUM which stimulates the kidney to dispose of body
wastes, and also aids in heart rhythm. The CALCIUM helps blood clotting,
activates enzymes and regulates the fluid passages throughout cellular walls.
The SODIUM content combines with POTASSIUM to help maintain a favorable acid and
a normal water level balance. MANGANESE in aloe Vera is necessary for good
enzyme function to helps in the digestion of food. The MAGNESIUM provides a
deterrent against kidney stones. The IRON helps to form rich red blood cells.
Aloe Vera is rich in vitamin C which promotes healthy blood vessels, protects
against infections, and promotes normal adrenal function and glandular activity.
Aloe Vera is a complex plant with vital proteins, vitamins, and minerals but
especially a composite of numerous biologically active ingredients. The
salicylic acid, magnesium and fatty acid combination seems to work directly on
burns in an aspirin-like analgesic effect. This way it helps stop the pain fast.
We know that in severe burns there is a quick loss of protein and amino acids,
and these are needed to help the healing process. Aloe vera helps by supplying
amino acids and nucleic acids to the burned area. The aloe vera gel helps
prevent dryness that often accompanies burn tissues.
The chemical makeup of aloe vera has the ability to penetrate into the skin
rapidly which carries the needed nutrients to the living cells of the epidermis.
Aloe vera is a safe plant unlike many prescription drugs. When scientists have
isolated some of the active ingredients in aloe vera, and tested them
individually, they have found that none of them alone can give the benefits that
the whole plant can. It takes the synergistic effect of the whole ingredients of
aloe vera to reap the beneficial effects. The Creator of the aloe vera plant
certainly knew what He was doing when He created this wonderful First Aid Plant.
