Guarding Against the Cold and Flu Season
Cold and Flu season will soon be upon us. Natures Sunshine, a company with 31
years experience in the natural health field, has an essential oil blend called
Guardian that has been the salvation of many. Last fall I met BH of Tiffin at a
meeting where I was giving a presentation on uses of essential oils. He and his
wife started using the Guardian blend in a spritzer form around themselves when
they retired for the evening, ready for bed. His first comments to me were that
they slept better. My comment was that the essential oil ravensara, which is
part of the blend, helps with the respiratory system, so it makes sense that if
one breathes better, they will sleep better.
BH told me they took it with them to Florida for winter and used it every night,
never to get a cold last winter. He continues to use it and share it with
friends and family. Recently he told me of someone in the family who used to
snore, but since using the
Guardian spritz, snores no more.
Personally at our house we do a good foot rub at night with the
Guardian in
lotion or massage oil to use it as a preventative. Guardian is a good Immune
system builder, infection fighter and infection stopper so it guards against
colds and flu. It contains essential oils of: Lavender fine, Roman chamomile, Ravensara, Tea tree.
Guardian is anti-viral, anti-infectious, anti-fungal, antiseptic, has no
contraindications and is good for acute inflammation. It can be applied daily to
chest, back and feet; diffused throughout the house and/or in your bath. I even
use it in my laundry when necessary (or just because I want to).
For those of us who are trained in the practice of Aromatherapy we even blend
Guardian Essential Oils with Solubol to make it consumable and get rid of those
colds, etc. faster.
