Using Our Senses to Make the Right Choice
The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) is the one governing authority in respect
to food and drugs that are safe and not safe to put in the body. Although their
principle of public health is good, this gigantic organization is telling down
people all over the world that all the food and drugs they approved are safe to
put in our body. Think of it for awhile and analyze their standard with
scrutiny. They approve food such as meat, pork, fish and chicken that have
either been fed or injected (or both) with all kinds of chemical hormones for
the sake of appearances in the supermarket, but to the expends of the animal's
health and your health. Many of these poor animals are already sick caused by
their owner's inhuman treatment and the unhealthy food that is fed to them
before they even reach the market place, yet the FDA approves them as good
enough for you and your children to eat. Ponder upon that thought for awhile and
the next time you decide to buy groceries in the meat section.
The FDA also tells us that the only safe medicines to take for our illnesses are
the ones they approved because these have gone through extensive research and
proved to alleviate symptoms. But to date, not one of their drugs has really
cured any disease. On the contrary, many of the simple pain relievers
(over-the-counter drugs) that they market have caused many serious and fatal
diseases. For example, a simple aspirin to relieve a person from a headache
suffering can cause internal bleeding which can cause a more serious disease
than what it originally was supposedly to fix.
Their false philosophy and ignorance of the properties of our God-given senses
have nurtured us over many years. We don't really need the FDA to regulate our
choices. We have five senses to exercise our choices to what is good and what is
bad for our body. We have sight to look upon beautiful things to bring positive
emotions in us and to shut out vile things that can trigger depression which is
clinically proven to cause major diseases. We have hearing to stay away from
boisterous noises that affects our brain nerves. We have the smell sense to use
to detect cigarette smoke and other toxins in the air that can cause lung
cancer. We have the sense of touch or feelings and the sense of taste. Although,
the latter is misused by many.
The sense of taste requires another sense which I call, "common sense." You see,
not everything that taste good is actually good for consumption. For example, a
chocolate may satisfy the sweet glands at the tip of your tongue, but it can
never satisfy the requirement of your cells which is "proper nutrition" which
the chocolate lacks. Often times, we have to use common sense before we put
anything in our mouths, but many fail to do this. A simple question everyone
should ask before putting anything in their mouth is, "I know it taste good, but
will this make good blood?" If not, practice temperance.
I think it is a sad fact that many have put their trust in the FDA as the
supreme authority in food and medicine. Keep in mind that all the medicines they
approved as safe to use for treating patients are chemically mixed. These
chemicals are poisonous to the body. They disrupt the body's self-healing
ability. It causes your body to function or malfunction very unnaturally and
when this happens once too many times, the body will eventually develop some
type of disease. When one practices the use of natural remedies such as herbs
for treating people with diseases, according to law, they are violators of the
law of the land. But according to God, the "herb" is "for the service of man"
(Ps. 104:4) "and the leaves of the tree were fore the healing of the nations"
(Rev. 22:2).
Do herbs work? The answer is YES. In herbology, the science and art of using
plants for healing, focuses on assisting the process of the body to heal itself.
The herbs are used to speed up the healing process, but it is not the body's
ability that heals, but the ultimate Healer is God. When taking herbs for
healing, keep in mind that our disease did not come to us from thin air. We
worked for it for over many years and it is ridiculous to think that we can be
healed by herbs over the weekend. Think of being cut by a kitchen knife. If the
cut lies only On the surface of the skin, the healing process (without the aid
of chemical drugs) doesn't take that long, but if the wound is deep, then we
should not expect the healing to as come soon. Once again, this is "common
sense." So it is with our internal diseases. Depending on how serious our
illness is will determine how long the heeling process is going to be, but be
patient and give your body the time it needs to heal you with the help of herbs
and you will see a great result.
Why doesn't the FDA approve herbs as medicine? It takes an enormous amount of
money to conduct a research and experiment on plants for medicinal purposes and
the pharmaceutical industry can only make money on patents, but no one can
patent any natural organic herbs. For example, garlic is proven to have
antibiotic effects in the body, but it cannot be patented. Plus, anyone can just
buy garlic from a grocery Store at a very cheap price. Therefore, there is no
way for them to recover the cost of research. But they chose to isolate the use
of chemicals because they can patent these and sell them at a very profitable
price in the market as drugs. "In the United States, the legal definition of a
drug is anything which affects the structure or function of the body and is sold
for the cure, prevention, treatment or mitigation of a disease. Of course, foods
may affect the structure and function of the body as well, but they do not
become drugs unless they are sold for curing, preventing or treating disease. If
this provision were not the law, then all foods would be drugs, since all foods
affect the structure or function of the body. (Nutritional Herbology). Herbs are
sold in the market not as drugs, but foods, but consumers buy and uses them as
medicines.
